Looks like he could be staying:

"I thought Colin Healy did really well when he was out there. He always goes after the ball and has a good range of passing. He plays a little like George Boateng out there and hopefully we will sit down with the Chairman this week to sort something out".

I am happy with the midfield, if Healy signs its a bonus. Howard looks a decent player when he has somebody providing defensive cover. And I thought Togwell did that job brilliantly. Nothing fancy, just tried to cut out as much as possible in front of the defence. And he's only young so plenty of time to improve as well. I didnt think Healy was as impressive as Togwell at breaking things up, but he certainly looked good with ball. Mcindoe looked really good and up for it, and Robbie Williams surprised me when he came on. He looked a bit leaner than last year, and really tried to push forward. I didnt think devaney did much yesterday, but we know what he can do on his day, and it looks like Mcparland is going to pushing for his starting place. So happy with the midfield. Just a centrehalf and striker now....

If healy signs then I think Kell's chance with us is gone. Feel sorry for him, but there you go.

1 x Centre Forward. 1 x Centre Half and I'm settled.

That miss kick knocked his confidence, but he soon got it back. Taking on the striker, and great save even though it was offside. Could be one for the future, but as Ritchie says hes not ready for the first team. I wouldnt like to think he was our only cover.

Colgan spent some time chatting with Turnbull at the end ......... probably asking how he let McIndoe's shot in.

And from the star

REDS CLOSING IN ON HEALY
BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie wants to sign Colin Healy for the Championship campaign.
The former Irish international played most of the second half in last night's 3-1 defeat by Middlesbrough.
Healy is 26 and a free agent. He ended up last season at Livingstone where he played six times. Previous clubs in an injury hit career are Celtic, Coventry and Sunderland.
Said Ritchie: "Colin is not scared of going and getting the ball.
"He's got a good range of passing, he keeps it simple. He reminds me of Middlesbrough's George Boateng, he's in a similar mode to that.
"Colin manages to find a lot of time on the ball in difficult areas. He keeps us moving. I was impressed, I have been since he's been here.
"I'll be having a chat with the chairman about hopefully getting him in."
Healy took Sam Togwell's place in central midfield as Ritchie made 10 substitutions in the second half. It was goalless for the first 45 minutes despite Middlesbrough fielding a full strength team minus Mark Viduka, Stewart Downing and Mark Schwarzer.
Yakubu scored twice and Massimo Maccarone gotr the other as Barnsley went 3-0 down. Michael McIndoe scored the consolation goal.
Ritchie reckoned: "I'm not too disappointed...I'm disappointed to lose the game. I thought we fell asleep after half-time and they are a top class outfit, there's no doubt about that, in their passing and possession.
"I felt that if you analyse the game, we probably had as manby chances as they did. That is something we have to take as a positive. we had chances, it could have ended up 5-3. Maybe we could have got a draw. I didn't think it was a 3-1 game.
Barnsley started with probably Ritchie's first 11 and included new signings Togwell and Michael McIndoe, who scored 13 minutes from the end.
Ritchie added: "In the first half we felt we didn't pass the ball quick enough. It was only our third game, really only our second in anger and we were pleased with aspects of it."
Barnsley are due to take a full strength team to Halifax on Saturday.
The final friendly of the summer is on Tuesday against Wigan at Oakwell.
