Colin was on goals on sunday this morning

When Shephard asked him who was the best team they've played this season he said, "Barnsley, they absolutely battered us" We still got ridiculed when Shepherd said, but their bottom of the league.

 

Shepherd showing his lack of footballing knowledge again. The kind of presenter who thinks the best team Leeds faced MUST be a top six team. Must have annoyed him that it wasn't the usual Leicester, Brighton, Cardiff, Palace love in.

 

He strikes me as someone who hasn't got a clue about football.

 

But Barnsley ARE bottom of the league!!!! So he was right, how is that showing his lack of footballing knowledge? He might be a **** , but he was correct in his statement.

 

Yes factually correct but I meant the apparent surprise that Warnock picked us out. It was like he couldn't comprehend a side bottom of the league could play another team off the park.

 

Warnock is often complimentary to us.

He says that his time at Barnsley was the happiest of his playing days and only ever has good things to say about us. We were talking about him in the pub on the way to Manchester on Saturday and were of the consensus that we actually like him and that he would be a great bloke to have a pint with. I recently read his autobiography and it was refreshing to read one where he can be quite open about his dislike for people (mainly Stan Ternant and Wally Downes in this case!).

I know if we got the chance he would be top of my list.
people will probably hate me for that but he is quality manager and a born winner.
