I've always championed him over Walton but he's been a liability recently. Like a lot of our players his confidence is shot right now.
I think it's time for a rest and give Walton another chance, even though I don't really rate him.

I'd stick with Collins. In the games I've watched Walton in he's not been great. And we can't expect him to come in and be great either, straight away. Collins has been great this season although admittedly he's made mistakes recently ( although he's yet to let 4 goals in against a league 2 side)

Changing Collins for Walton just now would be like using a bit of polyfilla on the Titanic.

Please may I respectfully disagree - By the very nature of the job there will be some mistakes.
Replacing Collins is far from a priority

Wasnt Waltons last game in the FA cup against Barrow.and he hardly covered himself in glory that game.

Nobody in team has played very well of late, and with regards to the 4 goals v Barrow 2 of them were what many would call worldies

I think Collins is a much better keeper than Walton. It was certainly a bad error of judgement from him, which gave away the penalty last night, but I don't blame him entirely for the first goal. It's often very difficult for a keeper to get to the ball from an inswinging corner, when the 6 yard box is so crowded. He has made one or two errors lately, for sure, but De Gea had a terrible run of bad mistakes last year, and my Spurs-supporting pal is often highly critical of World Cup winner, Lloris. All keepers, even the very best, make mistakes.

Thought Walton had a decent game at Huddersfield, but didn`t like his putting off tactics in the Bolton pen shoot out he just seemed to put himself off, then we saw Collins do the same thing last night.

Collins has dropped a few bollucks recently but then he has come late to the party of losing form. Would still stick with him a bit longer.

I wouldn't drop Collins but there needs to be a massive shift in his performance levels.

The days of Stoke away seem like years ago, which is testament to us being slightly tougher to play against and the multiple defeats by the odd goal. Birmingham, Bournemouth and last night are all games we've lost by a single goal due to goalkeeping errors. We've then lost a draw and extra time in the cup due to incorrectly disallowed goals.

You make your own luck, and we've not exactly been deserving of draws, but very fine margins that could have helped get some form of confidence back throughout the team.

I wouldnt drop Collins yet either but he is definitely suffering a dip in form and was at fault for both goals yesterday. His performance around the penalty was pathetic.
He has had a bad few games but hopefully he will get his mojo back - but I think at the moment morale is so low amongst all the players I dont seen how he gets his form back without changes in performance in front of him

I’m generally against dropping a keeper, after a couple of mistakes. But he completely lost his head last night, and acted petulantly.

A spell on the bench might not be the worst thing for him

He is the better keeper than walton but confidence shot. Could be time for walton to have a go.

Yes he's definitely lost his confidence and his performances has suffered - however, there was no way he was going to keep his early season form up, his save xg was excellent. Confident in saying GK is the least of our worries at the moment. It's being amplified by the fact we've been so toothless up top too. Wouldn't be half as much pressure on him if we had a decent go at teams and actually score some goals

I think Collins has probably saved us more than he's cost us this season, but that is changing in the last few games. I'll forgive the running out of the box and missing the ball, as that is just a crazy one off error. I don't think he needed to bring the guy down yesterday for a penalty.

However, I have long thought he is suspect on crosses / corners. He rarely seems to catch them, and his punches either miss, or put us in more trouble.
