I suggested at the kick off that collins should get his cap on, it was obvious he was having trouble with the sun in his eyes. The Millwall keeper had his on, surly it would have made sense for Collins the ware one, thoughts?
Collins is a big boy and a professional goalkeeper - it is his choice whether he wears a cap. In addition, the sun would have been higher in the sky in the first half and therefore - in theory - be easier to see.
Couldn't agree more, just wondered why he chose not to ware one. At least now I know now he's a big boy & his choice, thanks fo clearing that up.
Have we had any keeper calamities down at Oakwell due to the sun being in the players eyes recently? I seem to recall Adam Davies might have dropped a clanger a few seasons ago, and possibly Luke Steele previously. Did we also score a goal due to the opposition keeper being blinded a few seasons ago, and then his team brought him a cap out after we'd scored?
What`s all this complaining abart someone stood in front of him when he has ball in hand to kick down field. I know he hit one ont back tother week but he will have come up against this all his career so far. Does he lack confidence in his kicking? Otherwise he`s doing alreight.
In winter afternoons the sun is low in the south and southwest. A cap is ineffective from shielding the sun when the ball is in the air, which is why most goalies choose to temporarily shield their eyes with their hand.
I cannot understand it, when I went to school the 1st day of spring was 21st of march, now it seems to habe been brought forward
