Drove up from Munich to Heidelberg last night through the most spectacular electrical storm I have ever witnessed. Absolutely amazing. On to Cologne this morning and it's swinging between baking sunshine and monsoon showers. The TV compound is a bit of a mudbath. Just watched England 'train' - actually a casual warm-up for the benefit of the cameras. Rooney expected to start.

    Block W13, Row 6, Seat 6 - Stadion Koln.

Hey up C. Have they got you in the BBC bowels or are you getting 'pitchside' for a gander?

Do you think Gerard/Lampard are going to start? There was some rumour that Hargreaves or Jenas might come in.

    YHPM by the way.

    What-ho!

Nope. Managed to see both England games so far and Brazil-Australia last night. Working right up to kick-off and immediately afterwards, but still see the games. Sat looking at my ticket for tomorra. Route so far has been Frankfurt-Berlin-Nuremberg-Heidelberg-Munich-Heidelberg-Cologne and we go to Stuttgart for Croatia-Australia on Wednesday morning. After that, not sure, probly stay in Stuttgart if Engurland win the group. Nearly 3000km on the clock to date.

    Hargreaves Starting

Gerard to the bench is the wy I'm reading it.

Risking Lampards Yellow Card, but saving Gerrard and Crouch for the knockout stages.

Do we read into that Sven rates Gerrard more than Lampard?

Guessing the your World Cup trip went well mate?

    Yeah

It was excellent - great atmosphere out there. Shame the England performances weren't up to the rest of the experience [IMG]

Managed to get the London Tykes flag nicely on display at the Paraguay game. Our tickets were next to the match of the day studio so we got some pics with Ian Wright and a few more when we bumped into Victoria Beckam in the burger queue of all places.

Saw the London Tykes Flag, fantastic job done there

    She eats burgers!

A burger would leave a massive bump on her belly she's that skinny.

    You're not wrong, D!

We had our first afternoon & evening 'off' there. Sensational place, groaning with unfeasibly attractive students, or so it seemed. Cracking night out - Vetters Brahaus, then Bar Mohr for a spot of, ahem, people-watching. I'm gonna try and engineer another stop there into our schedule.
