easiest one to use (for me anyway)

Beats the flat overheard cartoon look of the official ones.

My mate reckons they are a bit far away from the action

If you could get the £35 in upper they would be best, but them at front put me off going for them.

you would have thought that the club would have been able to sell them better

than just saying you choose the price band.

If they organised the selling in such a way that you could choose 55 quid, £45, £35 behind goals, £35 sides, £25 behind goals, £25 sides then it would be a lot better, ok they would have to open 2 extra turnstyles but so what? it gives supporters a much better clue where they'll be sitting and a lot more freedom to choose.

I e-mailed the club with a very similar idea relating to the £35 seats, which are effectively split into behind the goals and in the corners. No reply by the time I left work at 5 o'clock so they're either thinking about it or don't give a toss! you decide.

    For those who are interested...

    My e-mail:

Further to my e-mail to the Box Office on Saturday 15th March regarding the above, may I thank you for your prompt response. However, from the brevity of your reply, I do not feel the question was fully understood.

If you refer to the seating plan published on the Club Website, you will see that all the tickets within each price band are seated together, with the exception of those priced at £35, some of which are located on the front rows behind each goal whilst the majority are in the Upper Tier of the North & South Stands. As a Season Ticket Holders in The Upper Tier of the East Stand, my wife and I, along with many others run the risk of purchasing tickets valued at £35 only to find ourselves in seats in what is, for us, an entirley unsuitable area of the ground. Whilst we accept and fully agree with the matter of fans not being able to choose their individual seats, surely this falls outside that issue and those of us purchasing £35 tickets could be given the opportunity, while stocks last at least, of choosing which area we sit in. Our only alternative, to ensure a view similar to that which we enjoy at Oakwell is to in effect incur a £20 "penalty" and purchase £55 seats rather than gamble on being disappointed and potentially spoil such a great day.

Perhaps one turnstile could be devoted to "behind the goal" tickets with the remainder being sold from turnstiles in the manner already decided by yourselves

    And their reply:

Thank you for your email. We have noted your concerns unfortunately due to the logistics in selling the tickets under the direction of the FA we are only able to offer tickets by price band on a first come first serve basis.

    Kind regards

    Ticket Office

So that's that then! Let's blame the FA for the fact that Barnsley FC couldn't organise a p!ss up in a brewery!

    whats the problem ....

with being able to say "can I have a £35 ticket starting with 5" or "can I have a £35 ticket starting with 1"?
Have them in two piles on the £35 turnstile.
    Job done, everybodys happy.

I bet theyre selling tickets from the back of the net

and working their way out which is why you can't choose. they'll be selling all the 35 quid behind the net first.

any tickets not sold may be shared equally between barnsley and cardiff fans. that wouldn't be able to happen unless we were selling the **** seats first.

They might not be selling them like that but based on the fact that unsold seats can be split between barnsley and cardiff fans then it makes sense that the seats on the halfway line are being saved till last which says to me that theyre selling from behind the net and working their way outwards

That was how ticket sales worked for Cardiff - I remember because my friend went down to

the ground on the 3rd/4th day of sales and ended up getting us tickets that were nearer the half-way line than behind the goals.

Yes, agree, those pics are by far better, but the upper tiers are actually wrong colours...

blocks 548 - 552 should be blue with the upper half of that yellow
same on the other side with blocks 530 - 527

and behind the goal block 532 to 547 should be bottom half yellow, and top half green.

If you have done it (well the original one) I thank you, it helped us decide which band to go for.

not sure if you have done this one, normally you most likely would hav noticed the error first :)

    OR

    Have they feckin changed it?

Are you using last years seating plan? (or am I missing something)

Theyve changed the price areas for this season from last, now the upper tier is practically all one price apart from the lower areas down the sides (upto the height of the gangways)

Here's this season's plan from the official site.

And yes, I did do the colouring in lol, I'm not good with looking at flat pictures
