barnsley 3pm, im ok with that one but what time does rick/amir 'kick off', im ordering it after i get in after match. times anyone.......
Fought nobody, overhyped, claims to be British and wears the Pakistan flag on his shorts (much like Canadian Lennox said he was British), already been in trouble with the pigs for being a dick in his short career etc.
I wish every Pakistani was like Amir Khan.
He's a great lad and his dad goes out of his way to show that he's proud his lad is fighting for this country. I don't think there's anything wrong with him also acknowledging his roots, it's a fine balance but it's what integration is all about. The more young Pakistanis who take their inspiration from Amir Khan instead of those mad b4stards in the mosques the better.

RE: I wish every Pakistani was like Amir Khan. How do you explain this then.......... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7058736.stm I'm sure the pedestrian wouldn't agree with you.
Explain what?
He made a mistake, he drove too fast. Apart from the fact that, on that occasion, he and the pedestrian were unlucky in what way are you saying he's different from any other young man in the country?

RE: Explain what? Cocky youngster at the start of his career and thought he was above the law in his flash sports car. He's different from most, as the majority (a big one at that), don't drive through red lights and knock into someone.
RE: Explain what? But boxers are cocky and arrogant, it's part of being a boxer otherwise they wouldn't last too long, so in that regard he's no different. Windy was referring to how he's proud to be British but also proud of his Pakistani roots, and saying in that regard he's a better role model for British-Pakistanis than those that preach hatred. Speeding is nothing to do with that background.
There's nothing there to say he thought he was above the law.
He made an unfortunate error of judgement. So I ask you again, apart from the fact that you appear to have an issue with his wealth and success, in what way is he any different from any other young man in this country?

RE: There's nothing there to say he thought he was above the law. No issue with his wealth or "success". I have said my issues with him in my first post. All this dual nationality stuff is BS and just a way to get more fans behind him. For true British boxing greats, look at Ricky, Joe, David, Enzo etc.
I feel like I'm walking into this one but... Joe and Enzo are proud of their Italian heritage in exactly the same way Khan carries the Pakistan flag.
RE: I feel like I'm walking into this one but... You don't hear them drown on about it and you don't see the Italian flag on their shorts. You also don't see them fighting nobodies or see them in trouble with the law
RE: "Fighting nobodies." Know lots thanks. Can't wait for Khan to get knocked on his arse and lose. But he might win me over the more he fights.
Nice change of subject.
And you're right, this "dual nationality" stuff is ********. Why did you say it?

I bet he can't wait to win you over.
Maybe by thenthere'll be some sense inyour jealous, ill-informed gibbering son.

Be a better one if Graham Earl knocks Khan'' on his arse, and beats the cocky get.... Hes too mouthy, and wants leveling for his career to move on a pace IMO''.... Now that would round the day off sweet....
