Yep. Most of the Germans alive then are dead now anyway. I'm not trying to claim that most of the Notts miners involved in the strike are dead, but I still think we should move on. You're as bitter and twisted as a Northern Irish religious bigot.
but it would be a little unreasonable to criticise the sons and grandchildren of german soldiers for actions which were not theirs i would have thought?
Well, I would have thought so. Apparently not, though. Evil Germans! Unfeeling Scabs! Kill the lot of them!
Windy is not as thick as a brick - i dont know the guy but he comes out with some of the most readable postings on this board.
No, I have to say that Windy is very articulate. His spelling, punctuation etc. are beyond reproach. I have never, however, agreed with anything he's ever said. Doesn't mean he's un-intelligent or unable to express an opinion. The guy clearly has brains.
Ok.........thick may have been the wrong word But bearing in mind that education comes in many forms and doesn't just mean the ability to use a comma properly, He certainly falls into the bracket of uneducated. He has the smallest mind I have ever witnessed ( even though he is a legend in it) and continues to try and foist his drunken opinions onto anyone who will listen. When confronted with an educated opinion based on experience etc..........he makes chicken noises...........nuff sed
yep im not going to get involved in any personal vendettas you have, but to call him thick would not be correct at all.
aye, we ignore many other holocausts let's ignore the miners strike too as the fireman go on strike and they save lives don't they, real work, not scummy northern people who don't vote tory let's forget the world wars, they were 50 years back and nothing has changed because of them. besides everyone who was in them are old now so lets think about the dot com collapse instead - real industrial strife that
So you are comparing the miners strike to the holocaust? OK I realise you aren't specifically but........ Perhaps you should have chosen a differant analogy - because whilst we don't forget the holocaust, neither do we accuse all Germans we meet of being Nazis - or perhaps some do. You've provided my point entirely - thank you!
i agree 100% when things like that happern they shouldn't be remembered in history they should be forgotten about and never spoke of again
Eh history should be used to teach the next generation so they don't make the same mistakes, you can'nt just pretend things never happened.
