as im sick to death of hearing about bollywood, i dont give a **** about indian television awards and i dont see the point in having them in yorkshire, or england for that fact. if i want to watch bollywood i will go to india, why do we have to put up with this rubbish ( (furious) /poo
What about the ethnics living in Bradford and Rotherham and Sheffield and even in Barnsley? Plus loads of ppl who are not of Indian origin might like it too?
RE: Do you like it conko? I'm not fussed either way. Never taken the time to watch much if I'm honest, but then theres loads of stuff which is broadcast that I'm not fussed either way about, but I know others appreciate.
RE: Do you like it conko? when its rammed down your throat everytime news is on its a pain in the arsehole (kissmyass)
RE: Do you like it conko? I thought u'd like stuff rammed down yer throat!! Somebody shud prob try it?
Really? I've heard barely owt about it. Here's a tip - don't watch the local news! Don't see the point in it being here? - well I think the fact they have a big market here for their films. I take it yo'll go to America if you want Hollywood films as well.
As long as the all **** off back home we'll be r8. Like league of nations down Summer Lane nar (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) (england) spot on wellsie
They probably will all f*ck off home afterwards I daresay... ...seeing as the vast majority of those attending the event(s) will have been born and raised in this country. I'm sure the people in Bradford (is it in Bradford?) would actually love the remainder to stay and continue pumping money into the local economy but let's not let positives get in the way of a good ol' send 'em back rant, eh? I take it then that you don't eat curry, listen to RnB / soul / dance music, get treated by a black or Asian doctor or do anything else that has been inspired or influenced by immigrants?
Dont you think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion? or do we have to play the P.C. game? No-one allowed to say anything, but we are expected to cowtow to the MINORITY of the population. Everyone should be allowed their own beliefs, but should not be allowed to ride roughshod over the Laws and regulations of this Country.
RE: Dont you think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion? And just how is having Bollywood awards here "riding roughshod over the Laws and regulations of this Country" Or saying we don't want it, should "**** off" allowing people to have their own beliefs?
Of course... But I'm not sure how my response in anyway prevents people from putting forward their opinions. This is an open, public forum - someone expressed a viewpoint, I responded with my own viewpoint as a counter-argument. Freedom of speech works both ways - there was nothing personal, insulting or derisive about my post so I had as much right to express that opinion as Wellsie and scooterking had to express their's. Far from it being a "P.C. game" it's more like healthy discussion. Regarding riding roughshod over the laws and regulations of this country goes I'm not entirely sure how a film festival quite constitutes that or how, especially considering the growth in popularity of Bollywood amongst people of all cultures (myself excepted as I'm completely indifferent to it), such an event cowtows to any minority any more so than than say, a music festival, Goth weekend at Whitby or even a football match.
