OK, Bristol haven't lost before tonight, and it was our defence that won us this match

We haven't changed since the Cardiff match
You can write the same report as the Cardiff match........i.e.
The goalkeeper and defence...........fantastic
The midfield. Howard and De Silva great, the wingers especially McCann not involved much in the play
The forwards, although Mostto and especially Odejayi are good players individually, we still lack any real bite up front
So we need more from the forward line. We need them to be working better together

One thing is very different though - and that is the feeling of........... TOGETHERNESS
I dont know if others have noticed this.....but
When any TARN player went off to be substituted then each player got a standing ovation from the fans
They also got a great reception when they got back to the dug out by SD and the other Barnsley players
There was a lot of confidence building actions shown between the Barnsley players e.g. slapping each other on the back and shaking hands during the match...........this is ESSENTIAL if the team is to work as a unit
And after the match the players and more importantly SD came on to the pitch to clap the fans
There is a feeling of togetherness between the players and also the team and the fans
This is to the credit of one man...................Simon Davey

Exactly. When the relationship between the team and the fans breaks down then there is the recipe for disaster. Davey has professionalised the club from top to bottom and full credit has to be given to him and his backroom staff. I feel in my heart of hearts that he will bring about a force of respect fro BFC that hasn't been seen or experienced before. No laughing stock No butg of jokes No '"They return from whence they came!" headlines he commands respect and the players daren't mess just as He doesn't mess.

Simon Davey and his staff are doing an absolutely superb job and long may it continue.
