Magilton did his homework on us.......... and we played into their hands. Essentially our team consists of foreigners who are used to having time on the ball. Ipswich pressed and man marked us from the off and our team of Johnny foreigners simply couldn't cope. To add to that many of Ipswich were direct and broke with pace down the left flank, and exposed the snail paced Leon and one footed (out of position) Van Homeot.

JCR is our most dangerous player when he is running down the wings, and Hassell has been immense in the centre of midfield. JCR is completely wated in the middle of the park, he will work hardd where ever he plays but was completly ineffective today. Likewise we missed defensive player in the centre of midfield. After 20mins I would have brought El Haimour on for Leon, played him at left back, played JCR on the wing and pushed Hassell back into central midfield. Fact is that recent injuries have exposed the fact that we have no strength in depth. I feel we need at least 4players, suggestions as follows:

Left fullback/midfield - Chris Taylor at Oldham

Creative midfielder - Bryan Hughes at Hull

Centre Half - Wayne Brown at Hull

Forward - Michael Mifsud at Coventry

Only shining light today was Boggy, he looked up for it and made some decent runs, put in a couple of decent crosses, also decent first touches and lay offs, great shot near the end and well taken (well deserved) poachers goal.......... has SD finally found a half decent striker, lets hope so!!!!

Also well done Jacob Butterfield, looked lively today.... promising!

Lets hope we have news on the transfer front before saturday......................

    YOU REDS!!!
