He's not improved the team since being the manager. We are finishing as badly with the likes of Macken and Kozluk in our team as we did when we had Marc Richards and Paul Heckingbottom.

 

Are they actually quality players

or do we just want them to be?

If they are quality then why are we still so bad? On the other hand maybe its just us wanting them to be better quality, so we will improve. either way its not working and I cant see it changing really.

Well said Mark. If the current squad are sooooo much better than the likes of Colgan, Kay, Austin, Heckingbottom, Richards etc why do they finish no better than those did in the league table?

They are good quality what gets me is that we have JCR looking like a class player , we turn down 1Million yet he has now turned into Mr below
average.

 

I am not saying they aren`t better players or they are

But there must be a reason why they are still playing *****, cant be all the managers fault surely

then you don't really deserve an answer. We're Barnsley fans not Davey lovers and I wish people would stop being so antagonistic.

What Simon Davey has brought to BFC is continued Championship status avoiding relegation for three successive years, which may not be scintillating, but it's not bad for a small club like ours. There are many equally sized clubs doing a lot worse than us who would swap places with us in a second. In every one of those years the people that don't like him have been absolutely certain he'd take us down and have been wrong every time.

What makes you so certain that he'll relegate us this year when we've only played 4 games and he hasn't really had the chance to play all his new signings together?
