Matt (or anyone else from 1575), Just like to ask you a question or two

I've seen the 'commentators eye' advertised on here a few times. I've always taken a look and it's an interesting read. I've also heard Oakwell 1575am mention the BBS numerous times in its broadcasts.

In your opinion, does this web site provide a good way for information about BFC to be quickly imparted to a substantial amount of Barnsley supporters?

Do you think this web site is important to a significant number of Barnsley supporters?

How important do you think it is for fans living far away from Barnsley?

If you do believe it's important to a number of Barnsley supporters, do you think it should be considered important by the club, considering these supporters are their customers?

Do you advertise your commentator's eye on the official site or the fans forum the official site provide? If not, why not?

Sorry for the interrogation, I just wondered how a different medium that also has BFC at heart views this forum.

    Jay,

Oakwell1575am is supported by the club itself and has links dedicated to it's site on the official site.

As a BFC supporter you will also know that we have our own page within the Official Matchday Programme.

Ergo, the club and the radio station work as close together as is possible.

As far as this BBS goes, all the team, including myself, read this board and often post. If there is anything posted on here that can be discussed on air on a match day then we are more than happy to do so.

There are certain members of this board who have had personal mentions. In fact, if anyone on here would like to commit themselves to an interview about BFC, the BBS, Football in general and give this board a little more air time then I will be more than happy to oblige. If there are any takers then please drop me a PM and I'll get back to you.

I hope this answers some, if not all, of your concerns.

    Here's to 3 points tomorrow.

    Andy (Oakwell1575am)

Interview Jay ... go on - interview Jay.

    Ask him:

    (1) What is Kay's best position?
    (2) Are the prices for 'refreshments' in the ground reasonable?
    (3) Why he talks like Julian Clary ...

Couldn't have put it better myself Andy....although I had to laugh when you mentioned that the radio station is supported by the club itself!

It would be great to have a regular interview with a BBS representative if possible, I for one would love to hear Jay's Julian Clary impersonation - if TFP is to be believed that is. :pff

Seriously, the BBS & Oakwell 1575AM can be mutually beneficial and it would be a good idea to "work" together. Maybe some of you could lobby the club to ask them about us doing full match commentary on the away games when Dave Cooper isn't available, as the dubious quality of the broadcasts on Barnsley's travels when DC has been absent seems to have sparked a fair bit of debate on this site of late.

    Seriously ...

... if you want to extinguish the 'Baaaarnsley' prototype of big rough men with pigeons, who sup Ale ... then you should interview Jay & Wayne (the camp twins).
They make David Furnish sound like Seth Armstrong.

    Glad to be of assistance.
