Say wages and running costs total is £2.5M
Income is say £15 per ticket x 8000 attendance x 23 home games = £2.8M

Gordon said we need 11k attendences to break even
Which is £15 x 11000 x 23 = £3.8M
He said the other night we have lost £3.5M last year
Is it a coincidence that £3.5 and £3.8 are similar figures
Also if the club takes £2.8M in attendance money and we have lost £3.5M
That means that £2.8M + £3.5M = £6.3M went out of the club last year
Gordon and Patrick are working at the club for nowt
So where is £3.5 million going ?
Makes you wonder what the club is still paying for dunt it?

Whatever - I wouldn't like to think I was trying to make a business of it. You have to be dedicated. I think they are doing a fantastic job and we shouldn't forget that they have steered the club from the brink and given us all hope again.

And that is no mean feat.

Yep, we know they are doing a great job and we are more than thankful, but

but it still makes you wonder why we are loseing so much money?
Think of it like this -
If we wern't loseing such a large amount which obviously Patrick and Gordon have to pick the tab up for
Instead of paying debts, if £3.5M were invested in the team in this league or even the Championship we would have a reight teeam!!!

Dunno, but I've always thought that the similarity of 103 and 104 is spookily coincidental.

Not really - we lost £3.5m therefore we need to be getting gates that will return approx £3.8m so that we are making a small profit rather than losing money!

Gordon Shephard is doing a fantastic job at Barnsley. Reducing that kind of debt is no mean feet. If you boys don`t want him, i will welcome him with open arms at Donny.(Y)

Your debt is going the right way and with another 18 months the club can then really go for it.

I personally would like nothing more than to see Barnsley and Donny in the Championship instead of the same old also rans that have been stagnating in there for far too long.

Onwards and upwards boys(nodding2fingers)

(Y)

hats off to you.

Makes a nice change to see someone rallying behind one of their "rivals"...

I would say the same from when you were in conference and cheering you on to meet us in this division. However, the constant hameerings we have had the last 2 years have left a taste in my mouth. Never mind, thats life.

Jay......Probably dint explain it too well

We need 11,000 home gates (£3.8M) to cover the present debt
So where does the gate money go that we are taking now with 8,000 home gates

Must admit your contributions are poor though
