What a load of tripe.......! The country and its working class were fighting tooth and nail to put a bit of dinner on the table during these times and football was an outlet of a lot of aggression by these people. (Wrongly in my opinion.) With or without thatcher our stadiums would have been upgraded and football would have moved forward. Typical rubbish by somebody who has no empathy with the people who really suffered during her reign and another reason why I won't read the daily mail.
