Comments today about Colgan

Group of blokes sitting near me took great delight in shouting "**** off you fenian Barsteward" at Colgan a lot.

Seemed to find it funny. Apparently Colgan's "been living off that penalty save at Cardiff".

Sorry guys - not funny. Maybe you're jealous that he probably earns more in a week than you do in 3 months.

He may well have made a lot of mistakes but he's also been solid at times. Not only that, whether he's good enough or not, his commitment and professionalism is sufficient enough to deter, if not criticism, then certainly abuse.

 

As a ,keeper he,s a waste of "snap and bacca" as a person i could.nt comment because i dont know him and you,re right about personal abuse he should,nt have to take it, but neither should Richie, Davey, Sheperd, so to bow out of this arguement gracufully Nick youre a lovely person who loves his Mum, strokes stray dogs and helps old ladies across the road, but as a keeper.............................................................................

 

Whatever anyone's view of Colgan's professional ability is, the kind of behaviour described above is not acceptable.

Fair enough, if Colgan has a bad start to the season, constructively criticise him professionally but leave the personally offensive stuff out. I hope the club instruct stewards to eject people who cross the line.

At this stage of the season we should all be getting behind all the lads anyway, regardless of any previous individual foibles.

 

for me it,s the same faults all the time he does,nt command his area and he does,nt shout at HIS defence and let them know whats happening and where it,s happening, these are all basic faults that can be coached/learned. If he shouts ,keepers ball and goes for it the defenders know whats happening and take appropreate action.......... BASICS

 

and he speaks highly of me !!!!

 

There is no need to personally attack Colgan in a middle a game. I noticed that he shouted something back at the fans. I do think we need a new keeper though.
