How do I get the main BBS in threaded view? I don't want to open a thread to see who has added to it only to see messages from people whose posts I have no interest in reading.

I loved the old BBS, loved the simplicity. One of the reasons I have never got in to any other forums is because they all look like this.

Sorry, I'm sure you've all worked very hard and it is appreciated and I'm sure lots of people will like this new forum, but I think it's awful.

On the old BBS I click a message and there it is, right in front of me. Nothing else, just the message and any replies. Here there's about 2 yards of scrolling and there is only 1 answer to the message! Christ knows what it will be like when there are dozens of replies.

The old BBS was a thing of beauty. Yes it was old, but so is a E-Type Jaguar and the Mona Lisa. This is just so ugly.

I'm in threaded mode for the individual threads. On the old BBS I have it in threaded mode for the actual forum. Can you do that on here?

hybrid mode is good, has the benefits of looking like other forums I use (which I like) and also has the simplicity of showing who has posted last in a threaded form at the top of the page, like the old board.
    Best of both.

So far I prefer the old un. Much simpler to see the whole picture and navigate.

Like it. Typical to see some of the 'change is not good' characters on here.

Nice to see barnsley fc have a forum at last well done and thank you

All you need to do now is stop people making the same post a million times and it might turn into a decent forum

the thing that put me off the old site apart from the set up was

    Just got back X 30
    or 1-0 100 times
and every one starting a new thread to talk about the same match

sort that out and this really could be a fantastic forum

Hope so because I agree with Jay. The old layout is better because you can avoid much easier threads and posters you have no interest in. Plus part of what was good about the original board was the layout being different to what a lot of forums are. Now we look part of the clone of hundreds of footie forums with the same layout. Not that this new layout doesn't look smart because you've done good :)

First dig of the new board, well done.

Change is no good if what you get is worse than what you had before. What we had before was in my opinion the best forum on the internet. Now we've got what everyone else has got.

It's like trading in your beautiful old Jensen Interceptor for a Ford Fiesta because the Ford Fiesta has a sat nav. You get an up to date machine but in reality it's not a patch on what you've lost.

I like the way you can hover over the threads on the bulletin board and get a preview of the message.

This is probably me being daft again but...

    1) Is there a way to see which threads have been read in the threaded view? You know how they used to turn green.
    2) Is there a way to direct link to the bulletin board from all parts of the site?

Do seem abit confusing at the minute and like others have said i love the simplicity of the usual BBS forum. Will get used to it though i would have thought.

I can remember moaning when it changed slightly last time and i cant even remember what changed now!!!
