both tactically inadequate never had a plan b and very stubborn. both in their own ways had issues with the media, davey through the club with radio sheffield, and who can forget hart's interview on radio sheffield, when he kept answering in one word. both better off in academy football both show no passion on the touchline. in conclusion a large amount of fans never took to both appointments
Agreed with stated, neither manager has a personality. look at our recent managers Davey, Parkin, Spackman, Hart, Hodges, Thordasson very little in the way of personality to try and bring players to the club using emthusiasm.
Bit harsh to say Davey shows no passion I reckon he has his moments (the way he backed Hume for example)......... nowhere near Paul Hart standards. Agree he's stubborn though.
bobby hassell had some interesting things to say about hart on mark stokes site (am I allowed to say that?) who were the players he couldn't handle? don't think Davey has that problem, they get frozen or booted out
RE: which, of any of my points, are wrong nt Why is he stubborn because he doesn't pick a player that isn't good enough or doesn't put the effort in? He's always come across well on the media when I've heard him. The academy, who said he were good at that? He may have inner passion he lets go when he feels right, people don't have to jump up and down to get there point across. Tactically I can agree with, he's got it wrong a few times.
RE: bobby hassell had some interesting things to say about hart Paul Hart seemed to be emotionally neutered. Not sure who he appealed to.
RE: bobby hassell had some interesting things to say about hart I'd be interested to know who the players were that he couldn't handle struggling to remember who he managed, did Kay paly for him??
be nice to know what the players think of him.I think a lot of them like him (jcr,s comments in chronicle) i some times think he gets very poorly treated by the so called FANS on here.
I know the point rhyhilltyke is making, although I would put Davey in front of Mr. Hart. However, both do lack charisma, hence they find it hard to connect with a large amount of the fan base. I would also question the man management techniques of both individuals... In defence of Davey he is a young manager, who I beleive has a lot to learn. He does sometimes need to except his plans do not always work, and I think that's what ryhilltyke is reffering to regarding a plan B. I do think he finds it difficult to admit he GOT IT WRONG at times.
monk tyke, I particularly agree with your final paragraph which makes reference to Daveys assumed rigidity. If true, It compares with a personality type within any relationship,ie fan base and manager, manager and players, fans aginst other fans and even within the context of domestic situation where one partner in a marriage is too rigid in their views for the relationship to work. It does not bode well for a healthy situation. The eventual outcome invariably ends,at best, in continuous bickering or at worst,in total separation. ie unhappy manager and owner, unhappy fans and in the case of a domestic situation,an unhappy partner. Such a situation however could be overcome if significant people realised what was happening and for them to take action to resolve the problem. There seems to be many unhappy people who support and own B. F. C. and it's about time someone took hold of this wretched position and did something about it before it really gets out of hand.
monk tyke, I must apologise for making the assumption you meant "rigid" in your post. That was my terminology and,of course, not from you.
