My daughter's been saving up and has her eye on a Dell desktop system: AMD Sempron 3400 Windows Vista Premium 1GB RAM 160GB Hard Drive NVidia GeForce 6150 LE graphics No monitor (already got one floating around) Other stuff looks pretty standard Price: £296 Does anyone have any opinion whether that's a good deal and likely to be powerful enough? She does the usual MSN, flash games, word processing, computer games (Sims 2 mainly), web browsing, email stuff. Price-wise she can probaly run up to £350-£400 if it would be worth it. Many thanks for any advice. It's for her 13th birthday (even though she is paying - how tight am I?) and I need all you help to keep a teenage daughter onside!
We use Dell's where i work (i'm a techy) and i don't like the things, and as the previous person has put they are really poor if ever u need support. It is a good price though. Sorry if this don't help
RE: We use dell Never had a problem with dell. We use em at work, and I have a desktop and laptop at home. Recently had a problem with the year old laptop battery. Emailed support who responded the next day, and replaced it free of charge. No idea about telephone support though.
