If I could upgrade either my memory (2GB to 3GB) or my processor (2 x 1.66 to 2 x 2GB), what would yield the better results?

Probably yer processor. If yer on a 32-bit operating system 3GB of RAM is about the max you can use and may not make much difference over 2GB already in.

Having said that the RAM upgrade would probably be chaeper.

    all what he said

but it does kinda go hand in hand...no good having a dogs ****** processor with a piddling amount of ram...not really. As ram is dirt cheap these days you may as well do both mate IMHO.
