Gally I do indeed use filezilla. What I mean is when I open my file on my computer (Old one that is) I used Microsoft Office frontpage 2003 to open the document which I edited and simply uploaded to my site via filezilla. What is the best programme to use now instead. Ive tried wordpad, microsofd word, notepad ect.......but non of those allow to edit and simply upload.

I don't use office so I don't know the feature set of Frontpage.
If you're looking for a basic web editor and ftp client try SeaMonkey. It's a browser but has an "Edit Page" option in the File menu.
It opens up in a new, basic web editor window and you can edit and publish from there.
It will only upload web pages, to transfer files, use a standard FTP client. FireFTP is a browser based client which is really good, extending SeaMonkey to do the whole gamut.

if you are only doing small changes to the html etc then just edit the files using notepad, notepad++ or textpad or similar TEXT editor (not word or wordpad) and then upload with filezilla. Simples.

Make a copy before you do then if any issues you can always revert.

Cheers for all your help guys. Notepad is a possibility but it takes forever to scroll down to find the bloody word or two that I'm looking for. The old front page just has the page all open like the site page and its a simple edit and upload we go.

Like I said many thanks for help again.

http://www.ffomanager.com/ that's the site that all this messing about is for.
