I've got a program that is not a virus and I'm perfectly ahhpy to have but it always runs on startup like msn messenger. In messenger you can disbale this but I cannot find a way within settings to stop this program running at startup. Is there a way through my computer or something to stop this. Not life or death just keeps annoying me
Simple mate, follow this goto RUN in your start button and type msconfig, then choose the startup box at the top, anything you don't want to run at the startup just untick it, then reboot your pc if there's lots of icons nr the clock in the bottom right hand side, these are programs that start when you fire up your pc, untick these and your PC will run faster, hope this helps. PS if theres anything that you not sure what the program does, just leave it ticked.
