    if I want to type the letter 'e' with an accent on it how can I do that.

    in word press ctrl + ' then e or which ever vowel you want

    hold down ctrl AND alt AND e.

    just hold down the CTRL key and the Alt key at together then hit whatever vowel you need, its that simple

    :)

    "ALT Gr" button (the Right and halt) plus the letter you want on a pc.

    Now how do you put other things on letters e.g. the .. above the 'e' in the name Zoey - or a cedilla under a 'c' in a French word.
