I actually didn't realise we were playing this aft. I was thinking that Saturday's game had been put back to Monday, not Tuesday's game brought forward. D'Oh! So what was already a great sporting weekend just got even better for me! Two Reds games, one on Sky and one on Barnsley World, the world cup final and the last GP of the season. And Mrs Burgundy Red is hundreds of miles away so I'll be receiving absolutely no grief about slobbing in front of the TV all weekend watching sport, with just the occasional trip to the pub for the really good bits. In fact she's even encouraging me to watch it all while I'm away in the vain hope that it'll get it out of my system in some way. Ah, bliss! And I managed to locate The Belfry so I'll hopefully meet up with a few other BBSers on Monday too. I'm thinking it might be wise to book Tuesday off work. Oh, I love it when a plan comes together.
Got there in the end That Belfry place isn't a bad pub for an ex-pat haunt. Watched the England game in there on Wednesday. And walking distance from my apartment, at least it is on the way there.
That would depend on the result And whether I get caught short and have to pee against the Royal Palace on my way home. Those guards don't look like they'd take kindly to that kind of thing.
