Conflicting Reports.......what SD says ...........and whats on the Official *****

    Last week the Official ***** reported that SD was going to start with the players what we had already at the club.
    This caused an avalanche of posts on here about the lack of quality of our strikers.
    The message board lit up, fans were saying things like - Mostto and Odyjayi arn't good enough - give Mostto another chance - Odejayi will never be good enough - we need at least one more quality striker, etc etc etc

    Then came Praise and Grumble last night (4th August).

    When asked SD said something on the lines of this.
    If you could sign a player from one of the local clubs who would it be. SD says, we had problems last year scoring so I'd go and get a forward, Beattie from Sheffield United.
    SD then went on to say, we missed out on a player last Friday but we are hoping still to bring one or two more players in.


    The thing is.............why did the Official ***** release a report that caused so much down heartedness and anger for their own supporters when obviously it was an absolute load of ballax.

    Davey covering his back?

    If failing to score proves to be our problem he can now reference back to a story saying that he was trying to sign a player.
    If it goes the other way then he has a story to go back to saying the opposite

    On open day Davey said it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out we've let one striker go (Ferenczi) and need another.

    It doesn't take a rocket scientist also to know that Mostto and Odejayi need to be off loaded

    And not one but TWO new quality strikers are needed

    Yeah but ,

    Wonder who it was that SD missed out on, on Friday? Bothroyd? The spanish lad that has gone to Leeds? Or Marco Reich? Hopefully not the latter!
