His wife had a baby last week.Davey let him fly back to Argentina for a week, he hasnt trained, thats why he was leftout today.Not like he would have got into the side after Hassells display against Plymouth.

 

Why isnt his wife with him? Surely having his family around him would ground him and make him settled? Is this always a problem with non european or commonwealth players?

 

There could've been

Complications with the pregnancy, she may not have gone full term, she may not have been allowed to fly out because of specific doctor's orders. After all, Colace didn't get clearance until September so that may have had some bearing on the timing for coming over here.

Its all to do with Immigration

Hugo and Miguel have to have worked here for a full year and prove their earnings b4 they can invite their wives as they'll not be earning.

Don't know what illness Miguel's son

has/is suffering from or even how long he's been ill, so that may have some bearing on why his family hasn't come over with him due to possible Doctor's orders or even medical insurance. I don't have all the answers but at the same time I don't think there is anything insidious about both families staying in South America.

his wife as definatly been over here, i've seen him with her on a few occasions! probably just wants to have her family around her and to have her bairn born in her homeland!
