Looks a talent and the players keep bigging him up. Hopefully see him get a few more games this season and then see him as a regular next season. Howards replacement? (hidebehindsofa)

According to the pundits that go watch training and the reserves, he's **** hot!

    So, another subbuteo bobbins then.

Not sure about a replacement for Brian but he looked damn good in his few minutes against Newcastle!

    Brian Howard reckons

he'll be a first team regular next year.

Very talented and head screwed on.

Could be our next really big money transfer out if he continues to develop

I have probably seen the lad play more than anyone as I regularly attend academy games. Last season, as a sixteen year old, he was a revelation, often playing against lads who were at least a year older. He has a good first touch and is quick over the first 10 yards, which usually takes him away from his marker. However, he is still very young and parts of his game have not yet developed. He is not very strong yet and his defensive duties as a midfield player are sometimes forgotten. I would hate to see the high hopes for his future disipated because he was exposed too early. Neither would I like to see posters on here calling him a failure is he fails to get into the team in the short term. If we handle him right we could have another Craig Hignett on our hands.

    BTW
There are some other lads that may make it. Why not give them a look this Saturday when they play Manchester United Academy.

Will Butterfield be playing for the Academy against Manchester United on Saturday?

Or is he a regular Reserve team player now? I keep hearing all these rave reviews about the lad and would like to see him play, but don't know if he'll feature after turning out for the Reserves today?

Potter is a third year student and Meynell is a year older. Jacob Butterfield is a second year student. There are also some good defenders in that year. For me, Luke Jennings (CH) is outstanding. If you read my reviews of games, which I post on here, you will have noted my enthusiasm. I have made him MotM in both home games, even above Butterfield in the first. Luke Waterfall (CH) is progressing, although it looks as though he may have to work on his temper after getting sent off at West Brom. You will no doubt have seen Danny Smith (RB) in the reserves and he is also in my list, although his progress seems to have slowed.
