On becoming the first Barnsley striker to score 20 league goals in a season since Brian Joicey in 1976/77. Congratulations too to Conor Hourihane for getting into double figures for league goals for the second successive season.
There are people around me at Oakwell who think these two players are useless. What a world we live in that has such stupidity.
To be fair Winnall has been poor last few matches. Looked a lot better yesterday after the first 15 minutes or so. Same for Hourihane thought he had a brilliant game, brilliant performance all round.
I love the pair of them. Just to add a bit of balance, though, my footballing knowledge is on the same level as Baldrick's on, well, anything. <img src ="http://i2.birminghampost.co.uk/incoming/article6780688.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/WA2824713.jpg">
The club need to get onto the Sheffield Star who awarded the regions golden boot award to Billy Sharp with 21 goals. How daft to have this given out before the season has ended. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...-glitzy-night-celebrating-our-teams-1-7891007
Am i right in thinking Sam is in the top 50 leading Barnsley goalscorers of all time? Anyone have a stats list on all BFC leading goalscorers?
I have a list I have not updated for a while which has Craig Hignett 50th with 36 goals in all competitions. Only 21 have scored 50 or more league goals and 36 have 40 or more league goals. Don't know where Sam fits in to this without checking
Maybe they assumed Billy would get a few more in the play off matches? Errr.........hang on a minute..........
He's got a thick beard which makes him look fierce, which scares defenders. He's also got a name containing the word "win", which intimidates defenders and makes them think it's only a matter of time before he scores. He also turns his head around a lot.
Neither of his goals on Saturday count. The first one was a penalty and the second was a tap in that I could have scored. Any goal that I could have scored obviously doesn't count.
