The woman should have been charged with at the very least child neglect and endangering a child for leaving her there alone, and that's without going into the fact that they refused to help the investigation and definitely without going into any worse theories. But no, the rich and privileged instead get a ******* award for it

But I cannot imagine what she is going through every day she wakes up .

So if she as the courage to help find other missing kids then fair play to her

I think it's more a guilty conscience than courage and she actively harmed the search for her own daughter by obstructing the investigation so it's ridiculous to hold her up as a champion in that very field

But completely true. There is no doubting or arguing against the fact that she refused to answer questions during the investigation. Questions that were an integral part in finding out what happened that night.

You have to remember we are talking about a young child's life here and she flat out refused to answer questions as part of an investigation into a girls LIFE . Thats the harsh reality and not an opinion

 

ST - Stop digging - one offensive post doesn't justify another. Do the honourable thing and report your own posts and hope they're removed.

 

Why? Did Kate not refuse to answer questions? Did her refusal not harm the investigation into what happened to a CHILD?

 

I think you'll find your believing a whipped up one sided story of events.

she made a bloody terrible mistake to leave those kids alone. Something I'm sure thousands of people have done. As a kid my parents, who were bloody excellent, probably did similar things. Some parents even let their kids go on Jim'll fix it....

At least they are trying to help others from their situation.

And anyone who thinks they had anything to do with her disappearance are daft in the head. The amount of effort and money the Portuguese police put into trying to find any evidence they were involved was phenomenal. Their crime was thinking their kids were safe in a locked house while they had dinner and drinks.

 

I think she done it. That's my opinion. Soz.

 

They werent in a locked house, the patio doors were left unlocked purposely to allow easy entry (by themselves) and it wasn't a house either it as an apartment on the edge of an apartment complex with easy access to their particular apartment from the road. The meal/drinks they went for we're at the far side of the complex far out of sight and sound of the apartment.

And the fact is that they, for whatever reason, refused to help the investigation by refusing to answer any questions put to them.

Now none of the above is saying they had anything to do with her disappearance, I've been very careful not to go there. But it is a fact that they obstructed the investigation so giving her an award for helping investigate child disappearances is a slap in the face of young Maddie herself in my opinion.

 

Some Ex gang members prevent young ones getting involved with gangs, ex drug addicts help other addicts to quit, murderers can do charity work to talk about their experiences.

People best in a position to help are often those who have made the mistakes themselves.

It's about putting right your mistakes. It's what Christian values are built on.

 

Putting right their mistakes would surely be answering the questions. Have they ever answered them?

 

I've only one thing to say but I'd get banned for saying it. I'll settle for Supertyke taking a good look in the mirror. That's what an arse looks like lad.
