Beat Cambridge 2-0 in the Conference play-off final and promoted back to the football league after 2 years out of it. Wroe had a decent game and after a shaky start Torquay were much the better side after, well done lads. :)

as I said at the time

him out and Mattis in was a move backwards

I think SD has made up for it with more recent midfield signings its worth saying

Watched a few games and he has played very well in them. Really impressed me as i was his biggest critic when with us</p>

As Paul Parker said before the match, he has been the most improved player in the league this season

just got back from wemberleee - went with a mate who supports cambridge

gutted. It could have been a much different outcome - Cambridge dominated the opening half an hour and were unlucky not to lead, and the torquay goal was against the run of play. The sending off really opened Cambridge up to the counter attacks so they conceded a second. Fair play to Torquay though - their defence was very impressive and they broke with pace. Both goals were lovely, well taken efforts. Overall the whole match was a credit to non-league football and very entertaining. Wembley was breath-taking (again) would love to see the Super Reds back there soon! :)

Summed it up perfect there, where abouts were you sat? There wasn't many there! I doubt you needed to go queue-ing up at 4am for a good seat this time :D.

Mate phone me late on Friday, a mate of his had been offered a corporate box from a firm he did business with that weren't interested in watching Cambridge v Torquay, and knew he was a Cambridge fan (very very generous and thoughtful). So we all went in to the Club Wembley corporate hosiptality box for nowt. The box was right on the half way line immediately opposite the tunnel - fantastic view. I've had a great afternoon. Needless to say, I was very grateful to everyone. Shame Cambridge didn't get the result.

Aweme, those Club Wembley seats usually cost a few fair quid to get in don't they. Was that with free meals and drinks at h/t etc?

No food (well I bought a hot dog!) - and actually it was quite strange because most of the boxes were unoccupied. The view was breath-taking though. I would imagine it would be a bit different on a F.A. Cup final - but needless to say very special all the same (and the Cambridge United supporters are a genuinely great bunch who deserved a result today - really turned out for their side).

Captained them for the second half I believe. Has also been picked in the next squad - to face Belgium at Oxford on Tuesday.
