    I liked him last season...

Its just the first two games this season where he's been a fairy playing outside the box.

But I suppose with the injuries and problems he's had, I should give him a chance. I just think we need to sign a striker. Quickly.

You're not in a position to preach to anyone about bashing people...

Shuker's given their full back a busy and difficult afternoon apparently.

Just ask him about Bruce Dyer

TMFDM really is a man who knows how to bash players.

He was truly atrocious on Saturday.

Constantly falling over is very very irritating , coupled with an inability to move makes me believe he isnt anything better than
    a bench player.

Thier commentary team is 100% better than ours, At least they keep up the chat all the time, nothing is worse than those long silences with the occasional comment like "Wroe in midfield" ???? what the %£%$ our commentary is crap.

    Oh I know..

I remember well, wasn't a poster in those days though.

I think its common knowledge to most people that Conlon was garbage against Brentford and taht he needs to get himself in the box more, but I should have considered the injury etc. Sounds like we've done alright today. Hayes shot cleared off the line right at the end of the half.

Aye right, cos youse 2 sit near me...

and have heard me abuse Shuker.

I believe in getting behind the players. I loved the irony of Satdy, everyone cheering for Conlon going off...replaced by another of the very men they love to abuse (Kay).

Ok, so I don't get behind Shuker at a game (what's the point? He has ppl chanting his name and he still doesn't improve. He's a lost cause.)

That Jarman, wide right on Satdy - now, HE looked class. I guess that's why his teammates were ignoring him...ho ho.

erm, didn't you used to take a pen and paper to matches

in order to note down Dyer's mistakes? You know, one of our players. Great support mate, first class. You really are an example to us all.

    guess again

nope, I could actually remember em.

Tho I never used to score how many times he lost the ball. There was a limit to how many stats I could carry in my head (without a notepad and pencil)

But did I boo him the way "fans" booed Sheron (and others)?

(I do remember a game where Dire didn't bother chasing the ball down till fans alot closer to him than me - lower tier - were giving him s***. So he chased the ball down, the keeper tried to let it go out, Dire tackled him and scored with a superb finish. Pompey I think)

    There's a msg there somewhere.

So not only were your stats

devised in order to undermine a Barnsley striker, they were probably inaccurate too.

I've changed my mind, after that argument I think you've every right to take the moral high ground and criticise those that don't rate Barry Conlon.

They might have been inaccurate once or twice

I mean, once a player gets to 6 offsides, you're onto another set of fingers.

Mind, you must have thought they were accurate, if you were convinced I took a notebook!

    Convinced?

No. Just thought that if you wanted to remain objective you would have made an effort to get accurate stats.

Anyway, notebook, no notebook, I think we can all agree it was the work of a true fan.

    awwww....

yes, let's not everyone fall out, whether it's Dire, Sheron, Betsy, Kay, Conlon, Shuker (and this list will go on forever)...

they're all essentially opinions. Yes, I was using stats to (supposedly) prove a thing or 2...really, in the hope someone would show me the error of my ways and have a counter argument.

Thinking of Dire (and his popularity with those not old enough to know better) I was talking to the bloke behind me's grandkid on Satdy. I asked him who his favoutrite player was..."Shuker" he whispered..."Is that because he's short like you?" I asked the poor 8 year old.

    Well, his grandad laughed.
