Our most consistent player this season by far
    Consistently good until Christmas
    Consistently **** since

He'll be voted player of year still though

His general play has been inconsistent, but he has consistently provided assists even when not playing very well.

I personally think Winnall will get player of the year, but I would love Hourihane to get it so he knows we appreciate what he has done for us this season.

Played every game, highest scorer, highest assists. Played great first half of season. Not too bad of late but season taking its toll now. Out of form from Christmas for a while. Overall had a great season to say its first in this division. My player of the season. Some might find something negative to focus and criticise though as we haven't had a player to single out and target as easy as other seasons.

    Pretty much spot on really.

Not that I think Hourihane is faultless, but I do wonder if a player that has contributed so much over the season would get the same ridicule at another club. I imagine player of the year would mean a lot to him.

Brave enough to move 300+ miles to somewhere he probably wasn't familiar with to better his career. Scored our most goals and set up our most goals. Decent first ever season for him at the highest level he's ever played at. Fitness wise can't fault him as he's never injured. Doesn't get suspended either. Alongside Lewin Nyatanga in being one of the most reliable players we know are always likely to be available for selection week in week out, no problem.

Barmy that last week alot of fans cheered him being subbed off when without him we could have been playing the likes of Accrington next season. Not without his faults but then if he didn't have any he'd not be playing at our level. The same people that bash him and don't rate him will be calling him a money grabber who lacks loyalty when the inevitable bigger club comes in for him.

He's had good patches of form just like others but the one constant is he's been available all season long. Injuries hampered Sam Winnall and Josh Scowen is class but only arrived in January. He should be our player of the season and it would be an injustice if he didn't get it. Bargain at 200k considering what we've wasted over the years on utter garbage. Set up another goal at the weekend to rescue us a point.

Also has the added pressure of knowing that whenever he walks onto the field we are heavily dependent on him for goals from midfield as our other midfielders very rarely chip in to take the workload off him in helping the attackers.

As above really, nobody got near him up until December time. His drop in form coincided with Williams going back to Fulham and Winnall getting injured. Hit form again during our run through Feb and March. Needs a rest for me. But you can't argue with his stats. 12 goals and at least as many assists if not considerably more.

I think losing the whole trio of Williams, Cole and Winnall ruined his goalscoring form - a lot of barely-mobile deadwood in front of him took him out of his stride.

I'd love to see him get POTY - Nyatanga might be in with a shout though

Yes, I've voted for Conor, but I think Nyatanga will pip him. Scowen's been our best by far since January, but I didn't want to vote for someone who has only been here half a season. Winnall's lengthy injury did for him. But Conor has scored more goals than most strikers we've had for the past 10 years and he's set up more goals from dead balls than I've ever seen a Reds player do. He had his bad patch, but we'd be going down if it wasn't for the goals he's had a hand in.
