Nice to see burton had the balls to bring him off He can go in summer for me That would be best for both parties Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
on the other hand though a lot of confidence and morale is missing with many of our players. Perhaps a manager who can motivate and inspire can get them fired up again.
It requires something Today was really poor but 3 points is all that matters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He'll come good. First season in a higher division. Scored goals that won plenty of games. Form suffered with everyone else. Baffled at suggestion we get rid #kneejerk
He needs a run back in his strongest and natural position. No coincidence his performances have gone from great to poor with the switch in position and his confidence has suffered as a result. A good manager will know how to get the best out of him.
Re: on the other hand though Agreed. I don't think we should get rid though. When Winnall comes back, I'd be shocked if we don't see an improvement in Conor, that's all I'm saying...
Personally i think it shows the flaws in wilson's thinking when signing player's. You either sign player's that can fit into your preferred formation with back ups if it needs tweaking or change your formation to best suit the player's you have signed. Unfortunately danny did neither and we ended up with a confused formation with player's not being played in there natural position's just to get them in the team. IMO of course.
He was no worse than anyone else first half. His set piece delivery was awful, for once, but he tried hard enough in open play but him and Cranie down the flank? Bizarre ******* tactic. Not sure JOS did much to be honest, but at least he's a winger.
JOS gave us width, and space. He was also direct. I admire your defence of CH. He is a good player, but he is so far out of form, and now out of position, he needs a rest. We just looked a better team without him.
Thought we had no pace width or desire to do the difficult thing with or without Hhourihane on the pitch. Our best attacking player was an 18 year old left back.
Go on whitey you nearly admitted he was shocking once again TBF he wasn't much worse than many others today but just annoys me more with Conor be because I know he's got it in him Unlike lita who offered nothing today or any part of this season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He's even poor now, at the one thing he was clinging onto. By stark contrast, George Smith's left foot looked brilliant, from dead balls and corners. It's got to the point with me now, where I don't see this as a dip in form for Conor - rather I see his start to the season as a purple patch. I desperately hope he proves me wrong, and makes me look a knob. And I know we disagree on this. I do agree though - no worse than anyone else in the first half.
Like owt else on the fabled BBS, things get said that folk add stuff onto, or things are said that are conveniently forgotten. I've hardly said owt positive about his displays for weeks now. What I have done, is defend him when folk call him lazy, or when folk suggest he's been **** for months and they'd get rid of him (often containing expletives). His form early season was never as good as some suggested at the time. I remember being in a small minority who posted on here in August suggesting the praise he was getting was OTT (folk compared him to Higgy.. bypassing Howard/Butterfield/Anderson etc). His delivery from set plays though has been - until today - incredible. He's got a goal/assist in him. His link up play with lads who show and move (Winnall/Williams/Cole) was a joy to watch. I think he's been a terrific signing, 200k an absolute bargain. I thought he was poor today. No problem with him being subbed off. His replacement is an actual right footed, right winger and he did slightly better I think. But we were still ******* gash until Lita departed, the one player in the squad who deserves all the stick he gets.
