    Weird Connor said he was happy at Oakwell at the end of the season so not sure why suddenly he would want to up sticks unless they are offering him stupid money that we can't even begin to match.

    Problem is he's only got 1 year left on his contract

    It'd be disappointing to lose him but this is our policy, so if we get good money to buy a replacement, I don't think it'd be a disaster. But he's a great player, no doubt

    How much would be reasonable? £2 million?

    The overreactions have already started on Twitter, apparently we'd already be relegated if we lost him

    the worry is we could start the season with a worse squad than the one we got promoted with. i'm not panicking, but our track record on pre-season recruitment isn't great. we'll see..

    No great loss
    Let him go - there's loads of players out there willing and wanting to play for Barnsley
    As mentioned before he along with Hammill and Winnal will probably struggle in the Championship because they are not quick enough
    It's as big a step up from 1st Division to the Championship as it is from Chapionship to Premeirship

    Connor would be a big loss in my opinion as I believe he could make the step up. Pace, or lack of, isn't a major problem in his position.

    Hourianhe and Winall should have been offered new contracts as they only have 1 year left, if they then turned down that offer then perhaps the club look to cash in. As you point ourmt above we could potentially end up with a worse side than the one that got promoted!

    It's quite rare Nixon is far off the mark to be fair to him. Wigan have the money to recruit from near enough any side in this division if they want to. Surprised they'd go for CH though.
