Mostly coincidence, or more like someone trying to find things and making them fit what they want it to be. The wingdings thing is rubbish anyway, as Q33NY was not the flight number - it was either a United Airlines plane therefore the flight number would have started with UA or American Airlines (AA) http://www.snopes.com/rumors/wingdings.asp
