Dave Allen desperate to stay up taps up AR publicly forcing GS to come up with new contract for manager who has won 1 in 10-Wed stay up-Barnsley don't?
Good..Number 2 AR desperate for a contract and a decent transfer kitty but essentially a loyal but frustrated man publically does not distance himself from the pigsty option in a bid to get uncle gordy to cough up some readies.
Hmmmm... yes Mr Ritchie we would love to offer you a new contract now your wanted elsewhere. Andy will feel well wanted now. Plus why are we even turning down the offer ? For all Gord knows Ritchie might want to leave. Surely the best option would have been like this....... Sheppard: Andy Sheffield Wednesday want you to be their new manager. I don't want you to leave. But if you don't want to stay then we don't want you here. And don't want to stand in your way. Ritchie: No i wish to stay here..... or the other options of can i speak to them please.
When I see your 'signature' and I see the look on Hecky's face I find it hard to criticise him. You can see how much it means to him.</p>
How do you know that conversation has already taken place? It isn't AR's job to rebuff approaches from the chairmen of other clubs. Shepard might've asked him, Ritchie might've said no and then Shepard's told Wednesday to take a hike... Thing is, we'll never really know...
