Most recent album "Aerial" is fantastic. I was never a massive Kate fan, I liked certain songs ('Man with the child in his eyes' was my favourite and back then you could say that without being labelled a paedophile), but anyway, I digress. Aerial is stunning. Mrs Bartolozzi is a song about household chores, Pi is a song where she recites Pi to n significant figures - household chores? reciting Pi? Crap innit? If you vaguely like Kate give this a try you might be surprised. If you like Europe - The Final Countdown stay well clear.
Agreed. She is probably the last true musical experimenter - but then again she was introduced into music by Dave Gilmour. Sadly, she would never get a record contract these days as she doesn't subscribe to the "x" Factor principals of music. Safe she isn't.
Someone is buying me Ariel for Chrimbo so not heard it yet. BTW Gary, did you see the Macca at Abbey Road prog on BBC3 (I think) at the weekend? 'Twas excellent.
I did indeed. Absolutely brilliant - says he's not very good at finger picking acoustic guitar...mmm...he's only one of the best in the world. Spent 4 years learning how to play Blackbird, and it seems so easy to him.
It's a wonderful combination of haunting and beautiful. Always liked her stuff and wasn't disappointed.
RE: Just for you Mmmm...with that shock of black hair, is it Bush by name, bush by nature I wonder?ff
