Controversy surrounding our goal

I still don't know what happened could someone who went to the game or at least someone who heard more than I did give me some sort of idea what happened? I was too busy shouting at the computer because the referee had gone to discuss whether the goal should stand to listen to what had actually taken place ff

Also - somebody get a motm poll done, I can't be bothered to type all the names but it's strange to get to quarter to eight without one.

I see it now because someone replied to it but it's usually frozen straight away.

No-one can tell me what all the fuss surrounding our goal was about then?

From reports I read - initial shot parried by keeper, Our player followed up but it was alledged that he was in an offside position from the initial shot, and also that he put it in with his arm.

Will have to check match of the day later.

 

A friend who was at the match texted me to say that..

It was definitely a hand ball.

Even if it was offside by the way somebody was on earlier who had been to the game and lived down that way, and he said we played very well and would be OK if we continued to play in such a manner for the rest of the season, so if he was offside we apparently deserved something from the game. And, judging by what the commentator said about the pitch being an absolute quagmire it probably should have been called off at 0-0.

Apparently the conditions really deteriorated after half time. It should then have been called off and would have been had it been 2 Premiership sides playing.
