    Absolutely Brilliant

I've searched time and time again for that Steve Cooper (RIP) somersault on Youtube. Truly the best goal celebration ever.

As I remember, Peter Beagrie scored for Stoke in the first game at their place, and celebrated with a pathetic attempt at a back flip which I could do with a bad back, blindfolded and a pot on. Steve Cooper spotted this and decided he was going to show him how to do it.

Thanks for posting, spent years looking for it.

    Fantastic!

I was at the Chelsea game and to this day I've never seen the highlights. Great day, only spoilt by Thomas the Tank's injury.

That Chelsea match was quality. I was living in London at the time, and worked with a couple of Chelsea fans. Came up for weekend for all cup games that season, went to Stoke match and I was due to go back on Monday morning but phoned my boss up to get some holiday so I stay for the replay.

Incredibly sad that t'old Stevie is no longer with us, he was one of those players that always seemed to get the crowd going. I remember that goal against Stoke like it was yesterday, I was up towards the back of the Ponty End just to the left of the goal, the place went mental, massive crowd surge forwards, those were the days.
