Seeing as he's briefly been mentioned on here over the last few days, here's his latest blog: Published: Monday, 3 November 2008, 2:56PM "I have to admit I’ve not had a great week and am feeling pretty low at the moment. In fact I feel like I’ve been kicked in the teeth. I finally got onto the pitch against Chelsea last Wednesday and it felt great to be playing again, even if it was only for seven minutes. But then on Saturday at Old Trafford I was dropped without any explanation from the manager. The reception I got from the Hull fans at the KC was amazing and made the hairs on my neck stand up, but after Saturday I now can’t help feeling it was something of a token gesture from the manager. As I’ve said in the past I have a great relationship with Phil Brown and he’s told me often that he wants me to stay, but after Saturday I’m feeling bewildered. The chairman comes out in the press saying that I’m not going anywhere and then this happens. I really feel I don’t know where I stand. I’m still training hard, no one can accuse me of sulking, but I just can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. They say football has a habit of kicking you in the teeth and I’m feeling that at the moment. Apart from the seven minutes against Chelsea, it’s been a long time since I played and I don’t really know what to do. Shall I move on? I know I’ll have to make a decision sooner rather than later. I’ve been told that there’s interest from Leeds, Oldham and Doncaster but nothing’s gone any further. If I do leave it has to be for the right reasons and to the right club. I don’t just want to go somewhere else to pick up the wages. I was back in training on Monday and that’s all I can do, get my head down and get on with it. Hopefully I will be involved against Bolton on Saturday but I really have no idea. Away from my situation, the boys left Old Trafford with their heads held high despite the defeat. I think United may have taken their foot off the gas at 4-1, but full credit to our lads - they kept on battling and I think if we would have gone on for another 10 minutes or so we may have nicked something. After playing both United and Chelsea in the last few days, it’s clear to me how big the gulf between those two and the rest is. I know Liverpool beat Chelsea, but I really can’t see anyone but one of those two teams winning the title."
I know not all fans like him but I think he is a very honest bloke and would love to see him here. I remember bradford fa cup 5-3 win away a few seasons back, he put them one nil up and gave the barnsley fans a little bit of banter but when we were winning 5-3 and he was subbed to be fair to him when we started singing "fatty give us a wave" he did
Agree.... Be fantastic to see him down Oakwell, hed fetch a bit of humour to squad as well as his Goals.... Great bloke....
Spoke to 2 Donny Fans today They are convinced that they're going down .... same folks who came to Oakwell a few weeks back thinking they'd hammer us ... quite funny really - shame they're mates cos then I wouldn't feel bad about laughing about it!!
