Can't say I'm too bothered. Would have been a fairly useful squad player, but not a signing to solve our obvious weaknesses - a big basterd in either midfield or defence.
Not that bothered about him fairly one dimensional player from what Ive seen and imho there are better options more suited to what we need.
Offered him a 2 month loan deal, clubs couldn't agree, Coppinger not interested in a loan deal with 10 days of the transfer window left, he's not even spoken to any BFC representatives.
I thought he would have made a good signing and I'm not going to change my mind just because the deal has broken down however if he doesn't want to sign for us I don't want him so we move on and find somebody else.
He turned it down flat apparently. http://audioboo.fm/boos/931041-drfc...mes-coppinger-s-decision-not-to-join-barnsley Thank god. Keith Hills earlier interview about the move - presumably before Coppinger turned the move down, he also takes about Matty Done. http://audioboo.fm/boos/930874-barn...atty-done?playlist_direction=reversed#t=1m20s
Didn't want him anyway but can't blame him turning it down. A two month loan 10 days before deadline day was going to make it difficult to entice him.
