:) :) Hope so, 2 goals in 3 games maybe we got a striker thats going to score consistently. Hume when he gets back fully fit as well, we might be a side to watch thats entertaining to the eye. before you doom mongers start i realise you got to walk before you can run :'( :'( :'(

Maybe he's that long awaited replacement for Neil Shipperly

That may not be the case. Gray is with us for more than footballing reasons. He wants to be close to his family, who live in Harrogate.

    He was fantastic last night.

Ran his B*ll*cks off. Held the line up top on his own and gave the defenders the run around at times.

Deserved his goal. Always said he'd be a top signing (Y) (Y).

    Did you go Scott?

How did him and Hume pair up?

Were they playing as a two up front or was Hume dropping back.

    thanks

He is a proper Championship striker, although some on here were saying he would be a ***** signing. Him and Hume are both easily good enough for this division. Onwards and upwards from here.

    I did mate.

    http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=151664&mid=1023874#M1023874

Did an Analysis on here last night.

At times in the first half Hume was dropping in to form a 5 in midfield but he was also linking up with Gray up top, meaning Hallfredsson was going out wide.

    So... Bit of both really.

But in my opinion Hallfredsson has to play centrally to maximise his strengths, that's where he played in the whole of the 2nd half and he was strong in tackle, ran with the ball, looked to pick out key passes and got 2 assits. My M.O.M.

Hume ran has knackers off though, his set-pieces are second to none. Crying out for someone to get on the end of them.

He has to be the desginated set-piece taker now.

Unbeaten away form for me so far this season, Wednesday and Derby. Long may it continue (Y).

Absolutely. Him and Hume are the 2 who should be starting all the time. Macken can come off the bench and do us a job, also have Bogdanovic too who is a natural finisher (Y) (Y).

Plus Boggy to come back from injury and JCR to rediscover his form......

....and things could be quite exciting going forward for the first time since Ritchie got the boot.

Yeah but we aren't the only club in the region so could still leave us as a 20 goals a season striker and stay close to his family for football reasons.

    RE: I did mate.

May I give you some advice?

    1) Take 30 quid to the Oakwell box office.

    2) Ask for a QPR ticket.

    3) Go to Loftus Road.

I did say that exact thing after 20 minutes versus Reading. Obviously, he did nowt else all game!

I do think he'd showed in that 20 minutes enough to suggest that he's the kind of forward we've been lacking since Ships. He can hold it up, work the channels and he's a presence in the air. Just hope Hume can get a goal or two to get his confidence up as it looks an ideal pairing on paper.

    Aye if tha's paying. :D

Bloody ridiculous the prices for the QPR match.

Said i'd go to Derby because i didn't want to fork out to go to QPR.
