BARNSLEY FOOTBALL CLUB STATEMENT Posted on: Fri 26 Sep 2008 BARNSLEY Football Club would like to apologise to the vast majority of season ticket holders who may be experiencing delays at the turnstiles due to increased inspection of tickets. This has become necessary as a small number of season ticket holders continue to abuse the ticket system, particularly in respect of adults attempting to gain entry with concessionary tickets. Having reduced all season ticket prices, and given a substantial number of free tickets to Under 11s, it is very disappointing to continually find some supporters attempting to gain admission with incorrect tickets. A number of season tickets have already been confiscated and this policy will continue when supporters are found to be using in appropriate tickets. Please remember it is Club policy that all season ticket holders must produce their season ticket book at the turnstiles and entry will be refused if your book is not shown. Once again, we apologise to all our season ticket holders who continue to give our Club their wonderful support and we feel sure that all genuine supporters will fully approve of the Clubs actions to deter illegal entry into the Stadium.
Handing your Season Ticket to someone else to use Disgraceful and denies the club revenue.
I remember the old Site Admin member off the old BBS that did that. Tee Hee.

Doubt it, cant imagine there being many turn up tomorrow. 10,000 at tops. Im thinking about taking a book tomorrow just to keep me awake for 90 minutes.

Why don't they have more turnstiles for Season Tickets and less for Cash and Matchday tickets? Long queues for ST's at Cardiff game, hardly any queues for the Johnny-come-latelys. BFC = Clowns. Fact (clown) (clown) (clown)
My ticket got checked at the last match. Why don't the turnstyle operators just do there job in the first place?
RE: Why don't they have more turnstiles for Season Tickets I went through the match day ticket holders gate with my season ticket at Cardiff match - no problems.
RE: Why don't they have more turnstiles for Season Tickets seems that they change their minds each game which turnstyle you can use against Derby we got in thru the "season tickets only" turnstyle at the corner of the east stand (behind the dimensions stand) no probs against Cardiff even tho it was quiter they made us walk round the other side for East Stand Lower does it really matter??
