don't think Eckerslike will be back for a while, Kay must be a better bet than Paul &quot;Liability&quot; Heckingbottom. Kay pays left side of the central pair so shouldn't have any trouble at left back. </p>

Kay at left back, Tonge at right back and Hayes on the right it is then!

    Do try to keep up.

I would stick Ozzy at LB. Or how about Nyatanga, he has played LB plenty of times. Could shuffle the back 4 a bit.

Or just bring Kay back into centre, although that doesn't look likely. Or maybe Atkinson, but not convinced he is ready yet.

Our best back four in my opinion is

Tonge------Hassell------Kay-------Nyatanga (if he can play left back)

but on account of davey getting shut of tonge id say Austin in his place.

Tonge is still contracted to us...

Tonge's still a reds player for the time being, he's only out on loan, but I know what you're saying, how can he play for us if he's not even in Barnsley! He is waiting for Walsall to give him a call this week and offer him a loan for the rest of the season, apparentley he impressed them when he went down there a couple of weeks ago

Nyatanga played LB while at Sunderland this season (came on at LB against us on his debut), and has played there for Derby and Wales.

Suppose he could be a stopper

But cant see hm offering much going forward. Better than hecky though.

I'd go with Eckerlsey if fit and Austin if not.

Not sure we'll see Kay again in a reds shirt
