As a reward for the unbelieveable heroics of 2013, and as a top bloke, offers almost every player new contracts and sticks with what we've got for next season, when maybe a few are not up to scratch?

What I mean is, I can't imagine not awarding the players involved a new contract after what they've given for the cause, yet maybe some of them if we were thinking coldly and analytically could be improved upon with fresh blood

I see what you are getting at. Some will go, some new will come in. That's always the way. But before we condemn the heroic, let's just coldly and analytically suppose our 'not up to scratch' players maintain their 'Flicker' form for an entire season. That'd just be 74 points then
