with Scnuthorpe, Hayes like Nardy was signed on a free. The tribunal ruled in Scunny's favour saying Scunny had developed him therefore commanding a fee & possible future add-ons. Surely we could do this with Nards should he decide to move to pastures new. I sure he has featured for our Academy side at some point.

Still think we could command a fee for his development though. Hope so.

We would have to offer Hayes a new contract

As long as we offer Hayes a new deal, we can command a fee for him should he decide to turn ti down and move elsewhere. That's my understanding.

If we don't offer him a new deal, he just becomes a free agent.

The deal has to be on the same, or better terms

I.e we can't just offer him a hundred quid a week and then demand a fee if he turns it down..
