Why did they do that? Let's replaces the cumbersome paper licence, a great idea would be to have a small plastic one the size of a credit card that will fit in your wallet....at the same time though we'll require you to have a piece of paper as well! (doh)
What really p*sses me off... is the advertising campaign they've been running on radio, saying how easy it is to upgrade your old-fashioned paper licence for a nice, modern plastic one.</p> What they don't tell you is that you still have to carry an old-fashioned piece of paper - and it costs you twenty quid to do it!</p> Do they really think we're that stupid? </p>
I lost mine when I was learning to drive. So I had to ring up and pay for a new one. I found it after I passed in the glove box of my car that had been parked on the drive for weeks.
RE: Did they ask you for the paper part? nt Yes, well I gave the counterpart in and then the provisional. Just checked paper part and gave it back to me, I had to keep hold of provisional to sign in and out.
