Firstly, well done to those that made it to Ninian Park (for the last time). Big respect to those who take a day off work, 4 hours on the coach and back at 2 in the morning. The players seldom acknowledge what the real fans do to support their team. Less than a hundred, but good on them.

I had a pint with a few in Weatherspoons in Newport up til 6.30 yesterday (I was the big lad with the geriatric Newport hooligan!) and they were good lads and lasses.

As said before, Teymourian was begging to be sent off and the ref refused 2 or 3 chances to do so earlier. Maybe JB Davey should have seen it coming and taken him off. He gave Chopra a dig in his chops as he was placing the ball for the free kick.....you could see a few of yours putting their head in their hands in a 'oh, noooooo!' sort of way. Silly sod!

We have been dire for the last two games. Without Jay Bothroyd, we were bypassing midfield and playing hoofball to two midget strikers. It was garbage. So in a way, Davey helped us back by, ironically, getting your team to play the ball on the floor. We played the same way and on the night, did it a bit better. In a funny way, maybe playing Macken from the start and hoofing it would have seen us joining in with that......but with Foster and Moore, we would have got sod all!

I thought you looked OK, to be fair. Maybe miss an experienced bruiser in the middle and a bit of presence up front to hold / lay off the ball to your pacier midfielders. There are no obviously poor teams this year so points will come and go from all sorts of places. You played with a spirit which tells me you will be OK.

Our crowd was a bit slow tonight....a bit nervous after QPR and S'ton games. Interesting to see opinion that we are hostile! I thought we were rather charming last night! It wasn't a dirty game and the foul count or 22-9 to the Tykes was unusually one sided. Didn't really see it that way.....despite Taymourian's efforts!

Anyway, put it behind you and start again. Few home wins will ease the pressure.

See you at Oakdale next year.....unless we make the top flight for the first time since 1962!!

    Good luck.
