1. He said "we thought we had a couple yesterday," which clearly didn't come off. I wonder if this could tally with the Barnett/Sinclair story Sky Sports ran? If so, I'd be pleased that they went for them, and given the money Peterboro spent on them,it shows no lack of ambition (and dare I say funding?). Pure guesswork of course. 2. He confirmed that we went back for Butterfield before he went to Bolton, and Butterfield wanted to come. Keith seemed at a bit of a loss to explain why he didn't come but conceded money could have been a factor, but could also have been "something else." Sorry if already covered elsewhere. I'm cautiously encouraged by both comments, hope they're able to do a couple of deals next week.
The Norwich manager himself said he wanted Butterfield to go to Bolton, because they play better football!!!
I would not listen to Chris Houghton spout about footballing standards given how awful Brum were to watch last season and his only resort when losing was to bring on the giant and belt it up to him.
