Club in money trouble, having to ground share. Hoping to build a new stadium in 'Coventry area', sounds a little broad to me. Maybe they're gonna be the next MK Dons?
Fairplay to them refusing to be held to ransom. Seems the council are forgetting that when Coventry first entered the ground they were in an higher league so had more cash to splash about.
Well they've got two Cathedrals so maybe they like having two of everything. Mind you both of them are tragic. The first coz of the state Jerry left it in and the second because they made Jesus look like he's having a dump in the artwork at the back of the altar and the choir is surrounded by hat stands.
I think you might be on to something here. When they won the FA Cup they had two managers, both of which had two chins and two bellies.

What signing a rent agreement and then not paying it? I'm gonna try that with my landlord when I don't get bonus and see how I get on.
Surely Coventry are calling the owners' bluff on this one. What is anyone going to do with a large stadium and no team to play in it? Apart from move an NFL team in.....
I would say that the current incumbents in charge at Coventry didn't do any due diligence with the lease on the ground and didn't specify any clauses that lead to rent cuts should the club be relegated... Hence why they are playing a very dangerous game of chicken at the minute. Can't see many clubs in the locality wanting to share...
Reckon this is going to be quite interesting for how it all pans out. Are they really going to build another new stadium? how will they get planning permission & the funds to do it? So glad we have Oakwell. Wouldn't swap it for any other ground in the country.
We'll still have a awful record away at Coventry if they build this new stadium - think at the Ricoh we got 1 point from 5 or 6 games & in that game where we managed a draw we conceded a last minute penalty! At least the Coventry hoodoo at Oakwell is now over
Wonder who they'll ground-share with? Northampton maybe? Does seem a very strange situation, the only useful purpose the Ricoh serves is as a stadium for Coventry City...it'll end up bulldozed, which will be a shame as its one of the nicer of the new stadia to be built in the last 20 years.
It's perfectly legal mate. 2 out of my last 3 tenants have taken me for 4 grand between them on that basis. The law's an ass.
